After its release, Apple’s iPhone 6 has gone viral, but with it has also come a rather pressing issue. Shortly after it came out, the iPhone 6 was rumored to have an issue bending under normal pressure. A company by the name of BendGate released a video showing the phone being bent under pressure. The video became Apple’s nightmare after being viewed over 50 million times.

The phone is made of anodized aluminum and stainless steal, and the screen is made of glass. The problem is not that the phone bends, anything will bend with pressure. The problem is a design flaw that creates a very weak point around the volume buttons. Even models in stores have been found slightly bent due to kids using them, and hundreds of “bend test” videos have been created showing examples of the flaw.

Apple has set standards in the past and it seems as if the iPhone 6 does not reach those standards. People spending much of their hard earned money on a new iPhone deserve an explanation for the design flaw.
