Renewed TV Shows of 2015
American Horror Story
This series, in the middle of its fourth season, centers around several different characters at different locations. These include a haunted house (season one), an insane asylum (season two), a witch coven (season three) and a freak show (season four). The FX program has been renewed for a fifth season, but it is still unknown when it will premier and what the new location will be.
Awkward.
Jenna Hamilton, an unpopular 15 year old, gains unwanted popularity at her high school after an accident is mistaken for a suicide attempt.
Throughout the show’s four seasons, Jenna struggles through living down her “accident”, boy troubles and finding her real friends. The show on MTV had been renewed for a fifth and final season, which will premier sometime in 2015.
Game of Thrones
Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series, the show brings
the story to life. Two powerful families are playing a deadly game for control over the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. The HBO hit will begin its fifth season in 2015, but has been renewed through its sixth season.
Pretty Little Liars
Four friends are reunited at the funeral of Alison, another member of the
group, and things take a turn for the weird. All four girls begin receiving text messages from a sender, who signs every message with the letter A, who knows their darkest secrets. The only person to supposedly know these things was Alison and the girls must figure out who A is and solve the mystery of their friend’s death. The ABC Family drama’s sixth season is set to start in January 2015, and it has been renewed through season seven.
The Walking Dead
After being in a coma for seven months, former Sherriff deputy Rick Grimes wakes up to find the world has been taken over by zombies. After returning home to find his wife and son missing, he sets out for Atlanta. He narrowly escapes death, and he meets another survivor, Glenn. Glenn
takes them back to a camp, which houses a small group of more survivors, including Rick’s family. The group must hunt or be hunted, and they will do whatever it takes to survive. The series is in the middle of its fifth season, and has been renewed for a sixth season.
