Nepal deals with a massive earthquake

On Saturday, April 25, Nepal experienced a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The death toll has reached 6200, and is still rising. Even though 6200 people have died, millions of people were affected in other districts. It left them without power, water and shelter. To account for this, UNICEF has brought in supplies to aid the people, and tents have been provided for a few thousand people.

To make matters worse, heavy rain has been pouring down on them, making life for the ones without tents even worse. There are still buildings standing, but the people feel unsafe in them, due to the aftershocks of the earthquake.

Landslides have also become a problem due to the heavy rain. Two occurred Tuesday and nearly 200 people have been reported missing after the landslides. Medical help has been there for three days, and have already saved around 600 lives, but if the landslides and rain continue, their jobs might become even harder.
