Most Anticipated Local Halloween Attractions

Halloween is one of the most anticipated holidays of the year, mainly because of the festive attractions that open up throughout the month of October. There are attractions set up specifically for teens, and some set up for families.

One of the most visited places teens go to is Frightmare Manor. Visitors can walk through the “5 attraction Scream Park” and go through different sections to be scared for their life. Visitors on the general admission, which costs $25, can go through the Manor, Night Harvest, and Phobia sections of the Manor. You can pay more money to go through the Lexer Jump, and The Challenge. Frightmare is based around the true story of a Tennessee serial killer, Jeremiah Lexer. Visitors will go through the Manor, which is the house where Lexer lived. Then they will go through the Night Harvest, a forest where remains of Lexer’s victims are. Last on the general admission tour, they will go through the Phobia section, where Lexer tortured his victims with their deepest fears. In the Lexer Jump, is where visitors have to go through a trial to jump to survive from Lexer, and in The Challenge portion, visitors can eat strange things to try to recieve their money back.

Another popular attraction is Frightworks, which is a Haunted House in Southeast Tennessee. There’s also Dead Man’s Farm, which is based around a plague that is taking over the farm, killing groups of people. The Trail of Doom, a haunted corn maze, is Knoxville’s largest and longest running haunted attraction.

There’s also places for families as well. In Tennessee, notorious for their southern ways, there are many farms that are set up for pumpkin patches and hay rides. One of the most visited one is Maple Lane Farms, in Greenback, about 30 minutes away from South Knoxville. Tennessee has multiple places to visit during the Halloween season, and are always anticipated throughout October.
