Peyton Manning Breaks Touchdown Record

After making his return to football, just three years ago after spinal fusion surgery, Broncos QB Peyton Manning has made history by passing Brett Favre’s previously set record of career touchdown passes with his 509th.

The pass was made with three minutes left in the first half of the game against the San Francisco 49ers, and it put the Broncos ahead in the game 21-3. WR Demaryius Thomas, who stated that he was grateful for the chance to help set the record, received the pass.

"I've discussed with some family and friends recently that [I] certainly didn't think this would even be a possibility a couple of years ago," Manning said after the game. " He also said he was humbled and honored by the experience, and he is thankful for the people in his life that have helped him get to where he is now in his career.
