Fall Trends

This fall, one of the main emerging styles appears to be comfortable-chic. People are dressing more for comfort than style, but are still finding ways to dress up their outfits with accessories and statement pieces.

One of the hottest items in fall fashion this year is the trusty flannel shirt. This is the perfect choice when the weather is “in transition” and can’t decide if it’s going to be hot or cold. Whether you wear it unbuttoned with a t-shirt underneath, tied around your waist and paired with a V-neck, or just plain buttoned up, comfort and style are both guarantees.

Another big-ticket item is the over-sized sweater. Not only is this warm and cozy, but it is also very stylish if paired with the right accessories. Scarves or long necklaces will work best. For a more relaxed look go with an oversized scarf, and for a more stylish approach try out a long chain necklace.

While the actual outfit is important, it will not look as good as it could without the right shoes. A very popular shoe choice this year so far has been combat boots. These can dress up or dress down practically any outfit. They can be worn with skinny jeans, leggings, or even skirts and dresses. They are comfortable, practical and stylish, which makes them perfect for fall.

These comfortable-chic trends give people a platform for self-expression without breaking the bank. Sweaters and flannels can easily be found at thrift shops, and combat boots are easy to find in a range of prices.
