Gotham is a show focused on the origins of major villains and heroes in the Batman universe, downplaying the superhero scene, and focusing more on the crime and corruptness days of Gotham city. While there are many amazing characters and personalities in Gotham, there are four that have seemed to peak most people’s interest.

  • Oswald Cobblepot- Cobblepot started out as a lowly worker for the female mob boss, Fish Mooney. While he had intentions of his own, he still managed to sway people with his innocence and manners. However, as the series progresses we see the darkness of Oswald, and just how dangerous he can truly be.

  • Fish Mooney- A female mob boss who owns most of Gotham. She is ruthless and cunning. While she may seem all powerful, she works under the ultimate mob boss, Carmine Falcone. But, all is not what it seems. While it seems like she is the perfect pupil, she sees Falcone as old, and it is the perfect time for a new leader to rise up. So why not her?

  • Selena Kyle- Selena Kyle is a 15-year-old girl living on the streets of Gotham. She was originally meant to be sent upstate to live in a correction facility, but, she exchanged her freedom for crucial evidence involving the Wayne murders with Detective James Gordon. She may be young, but she is extremely cunning and knows how to handle any situation. She know resides in Wayne Manor alongside Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth.

  • Detective James “Jim” Gordon- Jim Gordon is a rookie with the GCPD. He quickly learns that not everything is well in the police world. He finds that there are corrupt cops and officials around every corner. Though his father had an outstanding reputation, Jim wishes to free Gotham of it’s corruptness once and for all.

Though it is difficult to focus only on certain characters, these four are sure to maintain their interesting qualities. Great things can be expected from them in the future.
