One of the final films from the infamous book trilogy, The Hunger Games is coming to the big screens this weekend and is projected to make $155 million in box office. The movie follows rebel Katniss Evedereen after she, with the help of fellow tributes, overthrow the Games. There were only Twelve districts in what was left of the nation, Panem, but after her home, District Twelve is destroyed, she and the other tributes set out to find rumored District Thirteen. During the rebellion, President Coin led District Thirteen against the Capitol, while President Snow tried to overcome all of this. Six months after she and Peeta make it out of the Games, they have to go into the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell happens every 25 years and previous victors are selected during the Reaping. Through all the leadership Katniss has revealed in destroying the games during the Quarter Quell and making it to District Thirteen, she is persuaded to be the Mockingjay, the face of the rebellion. The film is going to be into two parts, the second coming out in 2015.

Student Tori Nunn recommends that everyone go see it and states, “I think that it is the best trilogy since The Lord of the Rings.”
