Movies Assemble!

On October 28th, 2014, in a special press event in Los Angeles, Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, announced “Phase Three.” This will be the new line up of movies from 2016 to 2019 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel teased their fans and the press at the start of the event by tweeting, “Marvel announces: Captain America 3: Serpent Society,” but later made it official that the name would be Captain America: Civil War. As the event continued, the entertainment company continued to live-tweet the names of each movie mentioned. Nine movies and their release dates were announced.

2016
May 6th – Captain America: Civil War
- In the third installment of the Captain America movie, Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) will find themselves faced against each other.
November 4th – Doctor Strange
- Doctor Strange (played by Emmy award winner Benedict Cumberbatch), a very intelligent yet arrogant surgeon, finds his career destroyed; however, he gets another chance when he meets a sorcerer who trains him to protect the world from evil.
2017
May 5th – Guardians of the Galaxy 2
- While the plot is unknown, director James Gunn has confirmed that the five heroes from the first movie will be included in the sequel.
July 28th – Thor: Ragnarok
- The events of this movie, starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, are set to follow , which will be released on May 1st, 2015.
November 3rd – Black Panther
- Plot is unknown.
In 2018, Marvel will release The Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 (May 4th), Captain Marvel (July 6th), and Inhumans (November 2nd). On May 3rd, 2019, Marvel will release The Avengers: Infinity Wars – Part 2. The plots of these movies are currently unknown, but Marvel will release the stories as they are decided.
Marvel is currently in Phase Two, which will conclude with the release of Ant-Man on July 17th, 2015. Phase Three will begin with Captain America: Civil War.
