The Grammy's

The Grammy’s holds loads of new and old artists with extremely high talent levels. Even though most of these people deserve it, only one can win the award. Many artists who were expected to win did not, or vice versa. Some of the artists, who won, won multiple awards.

Some people tuned in to the Grammy’s to know if their picks won an award or few, while others want to see their favorite singers get up on stage and perform. Either way, most people want to know who will win album of the year. Many were surprised to hear that, A Morning Phase, by Beck won the award. Most were expecting Sam Smith to take his fifth Grammy of the night, or Beyoncé, because of it being one of her most revolutionary albums.

Sam Smith had a very big night at the Grammy’s, winning four awards. He won best new artist, record of the year, song of the year, for Stay With Me, and pop vocal album. After winning one of his awards, Smith thanked the man who broke his heart, saying it gave him inspiration to write his album.

There was also a fair amount of live performances at this year’s Grammy’s. One was played as a video, Sia’s Chandelier, which was nominated for an award. Some of the other live performances were Rihanna’s, Kanye West’s and Paul McCartney’s FourFiveSeconds, Sam Smith sang his hit Stay With Me and Pharell sang Happy.
